Olgierd Cygan at the European Forum for New Ideas: Creativity and Innovation as Key to Success

Olgierd Cygan, Managing Partner of Future.Company, participated in this year’s European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI), taking part in the panel “Creativity in Business,” moderated by Jakub Sito. In addition to Olgierd Cygan, the panel featured Ewa Janus-Khouri, head of the Targowa Creativity Center, Piotr Wit Voelkel, entrepreneur and founder of the VOX group, and Ksenia Nowicka, responsible for Public Policy at Meta. The panelists emphasized the crucial role that creativity and innovation play in today’s business landscape, pointing out that a lack of these elements can significantly limit the chances of success.

The theme of this year’s Forum was “What will tomorrow bring?”

Olgierd Cygan highlighted the fact that the future will become increasingly challenging for companies. In his view, competing solely on price or offering a good product is no longer enough to succeed. It is essential to deeply understand the consumer and meet, or even anticipate, their needs. Companies must create a distinctive offer and a strong brand that stands out in the media noise.

Olgierd also pointed out that businesses face challenges related to the transition to a digital world. To meet these changes, companies must embrace new ideas and continually compete in the field of innovation and creativity. The ability to think broadly, step outside conventional patterns, collaborate with creators, and effectively use new technologies is becoming the foundation for success.

From Poland’s perspective, it is also necessary to create mechanisms that support such collaborations. The creative sector needs support in business knowledge so that graduates of art schools do not get lost in the complexities of entrepreneurship. It is also essential to build networks with companies and continuously draw inspiration from examples of successful collaboration from other countries. Changes in education are also crucial, fostering attitudes open to collaboration, experimentation, and the search for new solutions, as well as encouraging the achievement of ambitious goals through teamwork.

Future.Company, along with Filmteractive—a platform supporting the digital transformation of the creative sector and networking with businesses (www.filmteractive.eu) — is a partner of the report published by the Targowa Creativity Center: “Report: Creativity in Business. The Future of the Creative Sector in Poland.” This report directly inspired the organization of the “Creativity in Business” panel at this year’s European Forum for New Ideas. The publication outlines the key challenges and opportunities facing the creative sector in Poland and highlights the importance of innovation and creativity in the context of the future of business.
